The Most Important Day of Your Life

As life goes on day by day, we all experience challenging days and some really magnificent days, but there’s one day in particular that is more important than any other day of your life. The most important day of your life is your birthday. Why? At birth, we all start out the same. We are all on equal playing ground. Yes, I know we’re all born into different external circumstances, but your birth certificate gives you the right to grow up and become a Champion. Your birth certificate is your Certificate of Life. Unlike a college degree, you automatically earn your Certificate of Life when you exit the womb.

No questions asked . . . you are destined for success. Sounds easy, but that’s where most people fall through the cracks. Even equipped with this wonderful certificate that gives them the right to achieve miracles and become a Champion, many fail to do so. Why? They simply don’t take the action that makes their success possible. Let me give you an example. It’s like someone that has been given a million dollar trust at birth, but they never write the check to unlock the funds. Now, does that make sense? No, but neither does having a Certificate of Life that enables you to create miracles and then you simply choose not to use it. You and only you are ultimately responsible for your level of success or failure in life. Your mind and your heart are like a parachute. There’s only one way that they work – they must be open! An open mind and an open heart will allow the dream inside of you that develops throughout your life to become a reality. Your birth certificate (aka your Certificate of Life) gives you the right to achieve your dreams. From the moment of your birth, you are destined for massive success, monumental prosperity and an incredible amount of unbelievable results in your life. But, you control the chances of when or how or if that will happen. Once again, every single person has the same starting point in life. It’s guaranteed! It’s not a 60-day, 90-day, 120-day or even a 60,000 mile guarantee. It is a lifetime guarantee!

You are guaranteed at birth that you have the same ability to achieve success as everyone else. Your race, your gender and/or your physical handicaps don’t matter. It’s simply your decision of whether or not you achieve this success. Remember, Champions make decisions and decisions make Champions. You are Not a Victim! Let me explain what I mean here. We live in an age of victimization. We’ve been trained to think and live as victims. Our whole culture is saturated with messages that “you cannot achieve because . . .” Some see themselves as victims of ethnicity, gender, being born into a low-income family, vast conspiracies, etc. If you regularly watch the evening news or brainwash yourself with other forms of negative, popular culture, then that victim mentality will become ingrained in your mind. That’s why I advise people to avoid those messages and watch movies like “Cinderella Man” that reinforce the positive aspects of life and make you believe that you can achieve success despite the challenges that you face.

17 Highly-Guarded Strategies to Close Every Sale – Strategy #3: Never Prejudge (2 of 2)

If you prejudge that person before you even begin your business presentation, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Instead, enter the sales presentation saying to yourself, “I will show my product/business the exact same way to everyone with the belief that this person will become a customer of mine long-term.” Once again, you’re walking in with the “Always Be Opening” mind set. I’m opening up a new relationship. I’m not prejudging this potential client, customer, prospect, etc. Your mindset going into it will allow you to do a better presentation, and allow your excitement, enthusiasm, belief, conviction, and commitment to flow through. That’s what people buy! They buy who you are. They physically buy your product, but they were sold on you. If you’re in one-on-one sales or if you’re in network marketing, the potential client buys into you. They have to believe in you. If you walk in with a mindset of “I don’t believe this person has what it takes to invest in this product or service”, then they’re going to feel that. They’ll feel your non-belief. I love walking into some of the snooty shopping areas of Palm Beach in my gym clothes. If the sales person judges me on my clothing and gives me an attitude, then I walk right out the door. I refuse to sow my money into bad ground. In other words, I ain’t giving my money to someone that treats me like garbage. That’s exactly what your potential client will be thinking in their minds too if you prejudge them. Don’t fool yourself to think that they won’t know. They will notice the minute that you walk into the room. They will feel your non-belief in them, and that will dramatically cut your closing ratio down by 80 percent.

As I’m writing this I’m in beat up sneakers, my workout tank top and my workout pants. If you looked at me during the day, you’d walk right by me and say, oh, “Who is he? He doesn’t have a job. Only a loser walks around in the middle afternoon with a hat on and unshaven.”

You are probably smirking right now, because you know that you have prejudged someone that looks exactly like that for your own business. Little do most people know, I can walk around like that in the middle of the afternoon, because I am free to do what I want, when I want and with who I want to do it with. That’s far from being a loser! A prejudging mindset backed up with assumptions will cost you millions.

Allow EVERYONE the opportunity to own and take advantage of your exclusive offer to own your products. Enter every sales presentation with the belief that the person in front of you is your next big sale. I believe everyone has a champion inside them. Remember who I was and where I came from. No one ever prospected me. I had to answer an ad to get involved in network marketing and earn a million dollars. Isn’t that incredible? No one gave me a chance. Don’t you fall into that same trap of judging people. An open mind leads to a bountiful harvest!

Strategy #3 Champion Tip: NEVER prejudge or assume a potential client, a customer or prospect will not be able to afford or need your product.

THE POWER OF THE A-Z PRESENTATION

Over the last decade of being a professional home-based networker, when someone asks me, “John, what is the #1 reason why people fail in their own network marketing business?” I say with 110% confidence it is because they customize their presentations assuming what each individual prospect will find exciting. This mindset will definitely set you up for failure!

The key to success is the power of duplication — showing the same presentation over and over. You need to be presenting the entire business from A-Z to each and every one of your prospects because you have no idea what is going on inside them as you share the business. You must show your business exactly the same way each time you present your program for two primary reasons:

Reason #1 is you will be 100% full of confidence & conviction knowing what you are going to say because you have presented the entire plan from A-Z numerous times the SAME EXACT WAY. Repetition is the mother of skill. Your nervousness will also decrease, because you will become confident in your presentation.

Reason #2 is because I can almost guarantee you that when you begin to put this into practice you will have your prospects respond to aspects of your business that you would have assumed they would not have been interested in before. You will see your business explode within a short period of time. Just imagine everyone in your network internalizing this mindset and fully understanding the power of an A-Z presentation. The leadership abilities within them will skyrocket, which in turn will create momentum in your business.

Momentum is a force that you will not be able to control; it is also the key to unprecedented growth in your business. Leadership is earned by people who deserve it and you will project leadership when you present with the “Power of A-Z”. Always remember, it is just a matter of time before you hit your target when you keep aiming for it!

I AM A HABIT (Part One)

H-A-B-I-T…When 95% of people hear this word, a
negative thought pops up in their minds, because
most people think of a habit being negative. The
secret to your future lies in your daily habits so
ask yourself right now, “Are my habits today going
to help me achieve my WHY in life?”

I received the following excerpt from a very dear
friend of mine and felt that it is definitely the
best explanation of a habit that I have ever heard:

I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things you do, you might just as well turn
over to me,and I will be able to do them quickly and

BECOMING AN INFORMATION FILTER AND A KNOWLEDGE SPONGE

As the title states, “Become an Information filter and a knowledge Sponge.” On your daily journey to achieve your WHY, you will travel through many different avenues and sometimes you will ask yourself, “Why do I need to meet this person or experience this situation?” The key is to truly understand that you must become an information filter and use your personal God-given filters — your eyes and your ears. I always say that you were born with 4 inputs (2 eyes, 2 ears) and 1 output (mouth).

When you decide to become a filter and filter through all the information that is taken in through your inputs, you will begin to find answers to the reasons for certain experiences in your life. What you learn from each situation that you experience will be the foundation for future decisions. My personal view is that “every failure is a stepping stone to success, which in turn will become a very long and lovely stone walkway into the castle of your dreams.” Very simply, this quote means out of every failure you will filter information that will empower you to make wiser decisions based on information you learned from your personal failures!

As you begin to realize you must become a filter – listen and observe more than you talk, you will be amazed at the insight you gain. When you combine becoming a knowledge sponge, along with being a filter, you will empower yourself to achieve your WHY! Becoming a knowledge sponge is very simple. You must immerse yourself in the knowledge of the #1 people in your field of endeavor. When I first became a distributor in a direct sales organization, I simply did some research and found out what the #1 earners in direct sales/network marketing were doing. As I result, I broke all records and built enormous sales organizations. I was nothing special, but the methods I used were special because they were proven to work. Remember, the smartest people are those that realize they are not the brightest or the best.

Each day that you embark upon your journey toward your Why, you need to be constantly absorbing as much information as possible. Success leaves clues, and usually it is a long list of failures accompanied with one major success. I can tell you that if you have failed in the past and right now are questioning your actions, just become an information filter and knowledge sponge. Start to utilize your four inputs and before you know it, you will hit the mark and succeed! I highly suggest listening to positive personal development tapes and reading some positive material EACH AND EVERY DAY in order to saturate your sponge with the proper knowledge.
