Finding Your Why in Life

I told you earlier that I teach my students to take action steps. I have discovered the power of actually standing up, speaking words out loud and writing down specific exercises. There’s no thinking about it or overanalyzing each step. Just do it!

Now, we are at the point for you to make one of the most important decisions in life. So, stand up and say this out loud:

“Today, I have started my journey to find my Why in life. Life will test me at certain times. But, NO MATTER WHAT, I will complete my journey. At this very moment, I decide that I will NEVER quit this journey!”

How does that feel? I know it might have felt a little awkward, but most people likely felt some type of relief. Remember, what you just shouted out loud is a promise to yourself! Now seal this promise by writing the exact same
words that you just said on these lines and shout it out loud seven times – DO IT NOW! What Does Your “Why” Mean?

Before we start discovering your Why and unleashing your untapped powers and genius, let’s take a second to focus on the Why. What is a Why? What does it mean? Your Why can be defined as your reason or your purpose. It is the reason or purpose that you take up space on this planet.

One of the definitions of “Why” in The Oxford Dictionary is “for what reason or purpose?” The same dictionary defines
the word “reason” as a cause, explanation, or justification. Furthermore, the Oxford Dictionary gives one definition of “purpose” as the reason for which something is done or something exists. Another word that is frequently used when describing a Why is “mission.” The Oxford Dictionary refers to the word “mission” as an assignment.

17 Highly-Guarded Strategies to Close Every Sale – Strategy #9: An Offensive Mindset Versus a Defensive Mindset (2 of 2)

There are many people that I meet at seminars, but many of them never “do business” with me that particular day. I don’t huff and puff about their decision not to invest in my products and services. That’s fine, because I believe in creating long-term relationships. I believe in the near future, they will invest in one of my product or services. Maybe they become a member of the Lifestyle Freedom Club, attend a boot camp or hire me to do a motivational seminar for their company. I handled that initial rejection of my products and services appropriately and welcomed them to tie into my emails, tele-classes, etc., which led to their investment at a later date. Creating long-term relationships despite not closing that initial sale is a huge part of maintaining an offensive mindset.

What if I would have responded with a defensive mindset? “I don’t need their money anyway. I would rather keep my products, because they aren’t going to use them.” The chances of that person tying into my company resources and investing at a later date just flew out the door. Who wants to do business with someone that gets so defensive over another person’s decision not to do business at that time? More importantly, why would that person refer you to anyone else that is looking for the product/service that you have to offer with an attitude like that? For most people, it’s easy to get hot under the collar when a buyer is talking bad about a business that you believe in, but always remember the importance of opening those relationships. You can remain strong in your convictions about your business without completely ruining the sale. Just focus on the question or concern and address it with the reasons that you stand behind your product. You can even say something like, “That’s an excellent question.” If they say, it costs too much, then simply say, “I see you’re concerned about value?” Instead of giving off the feeling that you think they are just being cheap. Strive to satisfy their questions with your belief. Remember, if you don’t believe in what you are selling, then stop trying to sell it to others.

Strategy #9 Champion Tip: Maintain an offensive mindset that’s full of energy, excitement, focus and strength. When questions arise, get excited. Stand behind your business product/services and allow your belief to drive you to handle all questions and concerns.

THE ABCs OF LIFE

This week’s article is targeted toward professional marketers in the industry of network marketing. During a workshop this week, I did a special presentation on the ABCs of achieving the top position in life and in business. The ABCs that I spoke of are as follows: A – Attitude/Action, B – Building/Belief, C – Commitment/Caring.

The foundational key to success in life is a positive attitude. We all hear about it, we all talk about it and we all read about, but do we all have positive attitudes? Your attitude can go in three different directions – forward, neutral and backward. Going forward produces a positive attitude, remaining neutral and/or sliding backward result in a negative attitude. You cannot have both a positive and negative attitude! A person with a positive attitude will have “down days,” which are characteristics of a leader. In order to be successful, you must experience frustrations in life that tend to make you a stronger leader with a drive to succeed. Another important component to developing a positive attitude is establishing daily action steps. There are three key ingredients in building a professional business in network marketing or life in general.

1. Reading your WHY card upon arising in the morning and retiring in the evening. The most important force in your life is your WHY, which I speak extensively in my training programs and during seminars. (WHY are you living the life that you live day in and day out) You need to internalize your WHY and develop it into your spirit.

2. Consult with your Mastermind Team. Your Mastermind Team is the first three people that you consult with each and everyday that will ultimately help you achieve your WHY in life.

3. Speak to three new people a day about your business. Those three new people are three new prospects/three new seeds. “Seed time and harvest will not cease.” Those are two principles that will parallel your success in business and mainly in life. Basically what ever you plant you will harvest – positive or negative.

A forward-moving attitude will help you to build a huge business for yourself and have an incredibly successful life. I challenge you this week to read your WHY card, consult your Mastermind Team daily and speak to three new people a day about your business.

The following 7 techniques with assist you in building your business to levels beyond your belief. No matter how simplistic these techniques seem if you implement them into your everyday business practice, then your business will explode!

1) Simply lose the “always be closing mindset” and live with the mindset of “always be opening long-term relationships”.
2) Never prejudge. You just never know who will be your next huge sale or potential business partner. Let them tell you yes or no. Don’t make the decision for them!
3) You must imagine you have ears like the size of dumbo. Always out listen your prospect and they will sell themselves on your business.
4) Attend every business presentation with the business relationship already cemented in your mind. A business person without a strong belief along with rock solid vision will fail.
5) Offensively handle every objection. Learn to love it when someone tells you no. Sell offensively versus trying to close defensively.
6) Always be early for all your appointments. This gives you the edge in the game of sales. This alone will increase your closing ration 25%.
7) Just go for it! Spend everyday knowing why you are building your business and what the ultimate outcome will be. You must see it in order to accomplish it!

I challenge you to add these business building techniques to your daily action steps and commit to doing them every time you enter into a new business relationship. Your life and your business will change!

HOW TO FINALLY TURN RESOLUTIONS INTO NEW YEAR’S RESULTS REVEALED

Are you tired of making all of those New Year’s resolutions, and then breaking them on January 2nd? Are you ready to learn how to finally turn your New Year’s resolutions into New Year’s results? The key word here is “new”, because you want to create “new” results. You must analyze your old year that has passed and your future, which means do not think “re-run/replay” instead think about forging forward into the New Year. In order to create “New Year” results, you must decide to analyze, develop and implement.

Spend about 60 minutes of uninterrupted time analyzing the last 12 months of your life. Examine exactly what you did over the last 365 days to create the results that you have now. Don’t worry about these results and don’t complain about them either. Simply analyze them and understand that you are exactly where you are today because of your actions over the past year. That’s right, your actions created your results in 2004. Your actions turned into your decisions that produced the results that your are experiencing.

Now, are you satisfied with your results in from last year? If not, then how do you turn your New Year’s resolutions into results? You must implement NEW action steps. New actions steps will create new decisions that will produce your new results. Analyze what you did every day to develop these new action steps. Look at your business. How large is your business? Have you prospected enough? Have you attended enough seminars? Have you invested enough money into personal self development? Are you a member of the motivational club? Have you taken advantage of all that’s available for you to produce the results that you want?

If you are not happy with your results from last year, then just imagine where you will be at the end of this year if you continue to take the same actions and make the same decisions. It doesn’t matter what kind of resolutions you make if you don’t develop NEW daily action steps.

I challenge you to forget about those New Year’s Resolutions; instead, analyze last year’s results then develop and implement New Daily Actions that will lead to New Decisions and produce New Results for your New Year!
